Does it scare you that 40% of Americans deny scientific fact?

It's more appalling than scary to me. My sister is one such person. I quit speaking to her a few years ago. She was reading some of Lee Strobel's ridiculous rubbish not long before I cut off relations with her. As a parting shot, I wrote to her with some scientists' comments about Lee Strobel's awful books. As you say, most of the deniers of science have the wrong idea about the definition of Scientific Theory that has a lot of evidence in its favor.
