I have bad anxiety the doc gave me adivan but why?

does it make me feel like every movement is slow like as if im numb i hate it but i also hate havn anxiety attaks! also im on zoloft 100 mg no effect on that yet ive takn 50 mg for a month then the doc uped my dose to 100 i been onit a wk but still no effect =(
